Original
records of the UCC Vermillion still exist, and are in the process
of being scanned for purposes of preservation and access. The church
archivist is also compiling an index of names mentioned in these early
records, including members and other people mentioned in meeting minutes,
letters of transfer, legal documents and even company names printed
on invoices. This index will be expanded as additional records are
scanned. Scanned records will be linked to the names as time allows
or upon request. Note:
names are spelled as they appear in the record cited, with careful
scrutiny of handwriting elsewhere on the page for reference. If you
are looking for a particular name, you may want to peruse
this alphabetical list, rather than use a "search" function.
A key to abbreviations and notations appears at the bottom of the
list.
